About Newton Abbot
A market town and civil parish in Devon, England’s Teignbridge District, Newton Abbot is located on the River Teign. Its population, which was 24,029 in 2011, was projected to grow to 26,655 in 2019. As the location of the South Devon Railway locomotive plant, it expanded quickly throughout the Victorian era.
