Many Scottish properties, along with those found in the north of England still have the cast iron gutters and downpipes, synonymous with older properties. When these breakdowns or corrode, it can be possible to replace them with similar looking pipes and gutters, but they are made from uPVC.

History of Southampton

According to archaeological discoveries, the region has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The fortified colony of Clausentum was founded after the Roman invasion of Britain in AD 43 and the conquest of the native Britons in AD 70. At the location of present-day Bitterne Manor, it was a significant commercial harbour and defence outpost of Winchester. A bath house is believed to have been present at Clausentum, which was guarded by a wall and two ditches. It took until approximately 410 for Clausentum to be abandoned.
